Question by >__<: How to get my TV show idea produced?
Ok, so im 22 years old and ive recently graduated from College after passing my Filmaking and Film Production course.
My tutor told me i should now look to the bigger picture as ive got potential, so ive came up with a few ideas of pilot episodes and show outline e.g. characters, plot, setting etc.
how can i get it noticed and get someone to look over it and hopefully if its good make it into a TV show?

Do you have any credits? You got anything shot while at school? That would be a great help. Besides, personal contacts are also of great importance in this business.
There are also other ways of getting in tele-writing. Take any existing TV-shows and write an episode with those characters, the more episodes – the more practice, which is a good thing. Try with an NBC show and send it to them.
Check their:

That’s the offer open on the official Universal website (well, it’s affiliate – NBC). They can read your episode (you should write an episode of an existing show, don’t try to send them a super show of your own, – they never take original material from people, only legal entities, such as lawyers and agents, but if you write an episode of their show – it’s theirs and you won’t be able to accuse them of plagiarism) and if they like it, you might get a chance of working for them. Read it carefully, if you have an agent, it’s strongly recommended you send your work through the agent.
Check the production companies looking for ideas. Go to their websites every now and then to learn their requirements.
