Question by Scott k: i want to try out Film Editing, but not sure where to start. Help?
i just want to try it out and see if i like it. can anyone give me some ideas?

None of the programs that come with computers (Windows Movie Maker, iMovie) are anything like pro-software that people on movies or TV shows use. Try using Final Cut if you have a Mac or Avid if you have a PC. They’ll cost a good amount though, but if you’re serious, practice on those.
Just shoot something small and mess around with all the features (and trust me, there’s a ton of stuff you can do with them).
Lucky for you, 99% of editing is done on computers nowadays, not by actually cutting up strips of film.
If your high school (I’m assuming you’re in high school, or will be soon, sorry if that is a poor assumption) offers a TV production or film class, take it.
