Question by ncelli42: If I’m on financial aid and I drop or fail a class, do I have to pay all of the money back or just a portion?
I’m currently enrolled in 3 classes at a community college, English 1A, Math 155, and a film class, Media 41. Together, they add up to 12 units, film only making up 3 of the 12. The film class is the one im failing. To be on financial aid, you must be going full time, but what happens if i drop or fail the 3 unit film class? I get 2600 per semester. Do i have to pay it all back?? I CANT!!

I have had a similar situation happen to me within the past week. But I was withdrawn from school for financial reasons, not from failing. Obviously, the semester has not ended yet. I only attended class for four weeks but I still have to pay the cost of a full semester which is over $ 3000.
