Question by LIZA: Looking to sell my screenplay to an interested film producer??
I’m an independent filmmaker who is interested in possibly selling the rights to a screenplay I wrote. It deals with real life modern day vampirism, though the story it’s self is purely fictional. The work has already been copyrighted with the U.S. copywrite office. It’s not currently in the ridiculous, suffocating “spec” form that most Hollywood big wigs insist on, but told more in the form of a story, with specific camera directions. Basically, it’s a hybrid of a screenplay, and a story board, because I originally intended on producing, and directing it myself, so I felt no real need to adhere to a particular screenwriting format. Not concerned so much with the highest bidder I can find, but instead, with finding someone who shares my vision, and wouldn’t want to do any major rewrites to the script. My main objective is getting the screenplay made into the best film possible, period.
Old Lady – thanks for the warning.

Good luck to you.
I, too, have a screen play looking for a producer, but I don’t have the connections you do, nor the credits. I’ve found there are an unbelievable number of charlatans claiming to be agents who all want reading fees. Sheesh!
Anyway, hope yours works out for you.
