Question by argh.pirate: What film permits do I need in Burbank, CA?
I’m an individual acting as the entire crew for my films and the only other people involved are the actors. What permits do I need to film in Burbank, CA? It looks like the only one I can find is directed at production companies. I’m not a company, just an amateur.

If your filming involves only hand-held cameras, and does not involve excluding anybody from city property, or if you are doing this as a student for a school requirement, you do not need a permit. Burb Muni Code, 3-4-2004. I’d check in with the police to let them know what you are doing, anyway. It saves later misunderstandings.
