Question by blueroses: What is a good video camera to buy for filming a documentary?
I love filming directing and editing movies and clips, but I am such an idiot when it comes to cameras. right now I have an insignia video camera, like 120 dollars, but it puts the videos in this really weird format and it makes it impossible to edit anything. I have Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum that I use to edit, but every time I have clips on the timeline for awhile, it says “media offline” and the clip is black….
regardless… it’s extremely difficult.
Can someone help put me on track? What kind of camera should I buy? How do I know it will be compatible with my video editing software?
