Question by myfairashley: What is the best film based on Arthurian Legend?
I am teaching T.H. White’s THE ONCE & FUTURE KING right now, and am looking for a good film adaptation to show high school seniors (preferrably G or PG rating). Thanks!

My personal fav is John Boorman’s Excalibur although I believe its rated M or R. But if you’re looking for P.G or G I’d have to go with First Knight with Sean Connery, Richard Gere and Julia Ormond.
King Arthur (2004) by Antoine Fuqua was o.k entertainment wise but very much trying to cash in on the Robin Hood, Braveheart variety of film then add any value to the King Arthur mythology.
Edit: First Knight probably not the greatest example as it deals more with a love triangle and elopement of Lancelot and Guinevere
