Question by rhythymb@sbcglobal.net: Where can an award-winning (screenplay contests) screenwriter get work?
I am an award winner in the Hollywood Film Festival Screenwriting contest as well as the Discovery Awards Screenwriting Contest. I have been a finalist (top twenty) in the Walt Disney Screenwriting Fellowship and in the Academy-Award-sponsored Nicholl Fellowship. Is there any way I can turn my writing skills for the screen into gainful employment?

Have you tried getting an agent yet? If you’ve won that many awards I can’t imagine that it’d be that hard to at least get someone to take a look at your work. If you’re attending that many festivals you *definitely* need to concentrate on networking. Meeting people already in the industry is going to be your best tactic at this point.
