Question by Legalize it!: Will you please critique my 2min film?
Hello All,
I directed, produced, filmed and edited this short narrative with a partner from my digital media class. Its a short 2 min remake of “The Raven” with our own twists. This is my first time filming, first time using final cut, and as you will soon become aware first time doing any CGI or animation. If you could please check it out and offer some criticism it wold be appreciated. Negative or otherwise all feedback is welcome.

@ Bezant…thanks i appreciate it…this was like 60+ hours of editing…it was torture but we felt proud of what we’d accomplished so I wanted to get multiple opinions…its nice to see others feel the same!
@Allsl4one
The people in the streets was something we kept trying to work around but as it was a friday evening in downtown toronto they were unavoidable…a few would walk by..more would follow.
In regards to the day and night….that was a major problem we recognized early we only had about 12 hours to film and saw the light slipping away..if you see the raw footage its actually MUCH brighter earlier on…we used some filters and color casts, as well as increasing the blue and green channels/ decreasing the red to make it look closer to night.
our CGI was terrible…we know tht..but to be honest we learnt after effects in one day and did this so we werent expecting much. Thanks for the feedback.

very interesting well filmed, i expected a crappy film of poor quality and acting, but it turned out visually stunning for a first timer.
