Question by Kelly: Splicing tape for 16mm film editing…?
I’ve been looking all over for splicing tape to edit my 16mm film. Does anybody know where I can find splice tape (and other film supplies) and how much it usually is? Also, what is the difference between a roll of splicing tape and prestape?

Presstape is made like a bandaid, only with two tags on both sides.
That doesn’t explain it very well, this shows a splicer that would hold the film in place while you applied the presstape.
You can see the presstape strips in the holder.

I googled “16mm film splicing tape suppliers”
Some tape is supplied on a roll, with no sprocket holes, the tape just sits over the frames, I can’t see a problem with that.
