(Sorry for the 30 seconds of black intro.) When two college students stop for a break bewtwenn classes, something bad happens! This was a film school “assignment” short film. This was originally a short film directed by Paul Hunt. With this very weird short film loaded with bad dialogue and acting, I edited this to attempt to make more sense of Paul’s short film, and I made it into more of a commercial or “infomercial” type message – with the statistics at the end: about “college campus theft”, and how it is a major problem in colleges all over the US. I edited and lit this short, but did not write and direct it. It’s not great, but it’s semi-entertaining and was fun to work on in film school. The main boasful part of this short, was that it was shot on the new Sony mini-HDV camera! Though I’m a fan of the DVX-100, I think in the end, it’s not what you shoot your videos on, it’s about “story” – that’s the ,most important part of filmmaking! Enjoy!
