When in the film capital of the world, it’s probably best to attend a film school located there. USC and UCLA both have illustrious alumni in the industry. Boston’s Emerson College has a satellite campus in Hollywood that offers paid internships in both movies and TV.
FYI: Steven Spielberg, after being rejected by USC’s film school, attended Long Beach State, whose film school is reputed to be excellent.
