Question by Andy Harris: What Camcorder would you reccommend?
Hey people of the interweb, I’ve recently finished my degree course in which I had access to the Sony pd150 and 170’s. Now i really enjoyed using these cameras but unfortunately they are a little out of my price range now i have to buy my own camcorder. Basically I’m looking for something that offers around the same specs as the sony’s or something that is good value for my moola. I’ve always used tape but don’t mind switching to digital (for the right camcorder).
I want something that is great for a budding independent filmmaker but i want to spend less than £600. It doesn’t have to be a brand new camcorder. In fact i would opt to buy an older, used one with better stats than a newer one with less impressive stats. So what would you recommend?? Any advice is much appreciated :D.

ok forgot to metion above, I would need something (if video not film this is) that will have the options to help me get the ‘film look’. I know most of this can be achived in after effects but just want something that I can alter the FPS on. And as a bonus a cam with input for xlr cable. Cheers all 😀
