Question by Stephanie Taylor: What is a production coordinator in theater?
I’m currently working on a power point for my theater class. My assignment is to create a powerpoint with information on the occupation that I’ve chosen. My choice was a production coordinator.
The internet has only given me information about film production and I’m only allowed to use information about theater- not media. Additionally, my college library has no resources on it..
Does anyone know what a production coordinator is?
What responsibilities do they possess?
ORRR maybe just a page of information on it??

I have been in professional theatre for over 20 years and have never heard the term “production coordinator.”
There are producers, production assistants and production stage managers. Maybe you mean one of those?
