Question by pooh: What is the difference between tv editing and film editing?
I want to go into post production- editing. I would like to eventually edit for movies but I know that takes time. That being said would it be more practical to,learn to edit for TV. Or is it really that different? I feel as though film editing should basically be the same no matter the final medium. But am I wrong?

film editing would probably be more beneficial in your career. TV editing is more for amateurs at editing. Not to mention because film has much more editing needed, it would mean more career safety and it’s not like you are going to edit scenes by yourself. TV audiences are going downhill period and I was suggest not getting a career involving TV if the option were to be available
