Question by Roger W: Where is good to do Film production?
I live in England an am aiming to move around America and Canada in my gap year (learning and working and etc) and after that i am currently going to go to an English Uni and do Film studies/production or something like that…but in all fairness i don’t like england much and want to move away anyway, so instead of coming home after gap year, i thought i would stay in america (or Canada)
Right so my question…I don’t care where I go really, somewhere that has a good film reputation and will accept a student from overseas not doing a so called ‘hard core’ subject. If you give an answer can you tell me what the college does, e.g is it theory (like history and analyzing) or production based (how to create, direct, write…etc)? Is there a course for creating films rather than learning about them in america (although not necessary i do film to create, but stand the theory atm)? How good is a production course?
Also if possibly don’t give me 1 year ‘im not very cleaver, so i am doing an easy subject’ because i don’t do film because it is easy, i do it because i want to pursue a career in it…i want the full 3 years degree if that is possible (if that’s what its like in America)

University of Southern California has a reputed Film School. I will also recommend Northwestern both have very low acceptance rate.
good luck
