Question by Mario F: Which camera should I use to shoot a professional looking movie? should JVC GY HD100U be ok?
I’m looking to work as an independent filmmaker. I would like to try and produce my first feature film but don’t really know which camera to use. I want it to look professional and not home made crap. Could anyone give some suggestions? I was looking at a JVC GY HD100U to do the job. Should that be ok?
Thank you.

It is an excellent camera for what you intend to do.
Are you also the DP? The new mini-DV cameras now have the option of shooting at 24 fps (same as 16mm and 35mm film),so conversion later to 35 mm distribution prints is not as challenging a process as it could be if you had shot at 30 or 60 fps.
I am sure you know the script and the post production are the other two/thirds of the equation.
